Un video difundido en redes sociales muestra el momento en que un agente del Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE, por sus siglas en inglés) fue arrestado tras ser detenido por conducir bajo los efectos del alcohol con sus hijos dentro del vehículo.
En las imágenes, grabadas por la cámara corporal de los oficiales, se observa al conductor intentando evitar su arresto al gritar frases como “I’m federal, I’m DHS” (“Soy federal, soy del DHS”), y cuestionando a los policías con tono despectivo: “¿Eres haitiano?”, en un aparente intento de perfilamiento racial.
Los agentes, sin ceder a la provocación, procedieron con el arresto conforme a la ley. El incidente ha generado fuertes críticas hacia el comportamiento del funcionario, quien no solo puso en riesgo la seguridad de sus hijos, sino que también utilizó su posición para intentar evadir la justicia.
Organizaciones de derechos civiles y usuarios en redes sociales han condenado el hecho, recordando que los funcionarios públicos deben ser los primeros en cumplir las normas y actuar con respeto hacia la autoridad.

A viral video on social media shows the moment an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent was arrested after being stopped for drunk driving with his children inside the vehicle.
In the footage, captured by police body cameras, the man can be heard shouting, “I’m federal, I’m DHS,” while attempting to resist arrest. He also made a racially charged comment, asking one of the officers, “Are you Haitian?”, in an apparent effort to profile and provoke the officers.
Despite his behavior, police proceeded calmly with the arrest. The incident has sparked widespread criticism of the agent’s conduct, as he not only endangered his children but also tried to use his federal status to avoid accountability.
Civil rights advocates and social media users have denounced the episode, emphasizing that law enforcement officers must uphold the law—not place themselves above it.
As of now, the Department of Homeland Security has not released an official statement, though an internal investigation is expected to follow.
