Hudson County’s 32ND District was a 6 candidate Royal Rumble
In a tight Democratic primary for New Jersey’s 32nd legislative district, Assemblywoman Jessica Ramirez—the sole incumbent among six candidates—garnered 6,024 votes, representing 18.3% of the total ballots cast.
Ramirez, a Jersey City attorney who assumed office on January 9, 2024, is vying for re-election alongside Councilman Yousef Saleh, under the “Democrats for Change” banner backed by Mayor Steve Fulop.
While Ramirez sits in a strong third place, the second Assembly seat remains competitive. Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla leads her narrowly with 6,186 votes (18.8%), followed by Ramirez, while Katie Brennan leads the pack with 6,376 votes (19.4%)
With no further ballots to be counted in Hudson County tonight, the final outcome hinges on today’s results.
